ALLAN SOSIN, M.D.

ALLAN SOSIN, M.D. is a graduate of Northwestern University Medical School, Chicago, Illinois. He trained extensively in traditional medicine and is board certified in International Medicine and Nephrology, the study of kidney disease. For 13 years he had his own medical practice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During that time he became increasingly interested in alternative approaches to medical problems—Nutrition, Vitamin and Mineral Therapies, Chelation Therapy, Acupuncture, Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy, Exercise and Stress Management, Chiropractic and Massage. During his time in Philadelphia, PA he organized and directed 2 drug detoxification ceters. He also held the position of Assistant Medical Director at The Institutes For The Achievement Of Human Potential, a world-renowned facility for the treatment of brain injured children. In 1997, the Institutes for Human Potential awarded him the LEONARDO DaVINCI AWARD for his work.

In 1995, he and his family moved to Newport Beach, California where he worked at the Whitaker Wellness Institute. As Medical Director he helped introduce new therapies, including Enhanced External Counterpulsation for the treatment of cardiovascular disease and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.

Dr. Sosin is experienced in the use of natural approaches to replace the use of drugs and surgery. Using these approaches he has successfully treated thousands of patients with serious medical conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, hypertension and chronic fatigue. He is the author of 2 books, Alpha Lipoic Acid: Nature’s Ultimate Antioxidant and The Doctor’s Guide to Diabetes and Your Child. He has appeared on radio and television and writes a health newsletter. He received the PHYSICIAN OF THE YEAR award from the National Health Federation for the year 2000.
